NZ - Waitomo + Hobbiton

A New Zealand visit is not complete without a visit to the Waitomo caves and Hobbiton. The Waitomo caves are home to thousands of glowworms which are quite magical.

Having already done our homework and research by rewatching the Lord of the Rings, we were excited to be visiting Hobbiton, the outside film set for the hobbits village. The tour was really very interesting, the attention to detail on the scenery was astonishing. The set had a great pub (probably the best in New Zealand), with beautiful wooden interior, roaring fire and free beer!
