Our first day in South Uist brought sunshine so we headed to our local beach. A short walk (Sian's knee a bit sore, see post on Elgol pennisula) took us along the beach and past the Cladh Hallan Roundhouse, where mummies were found where there was a prehistoric village.

We cycled to our local in the evening for some sundowners, sightly embarrassed to admit to the bar tender we'd only travelled five minutes by bike. [There are a lot of laden cyclists doing the Hebridean Way]
